Frequently Asked Questions

Q.
What are your fees, and do you offer a guarantee?
A.

Our fees and guarantee information can be found in the Employers section of our website, and we are confident that they are the most attractive in the industry.

Q.
Do you produce video-resumes?
A.
No. Our service includes compiling a short 1 to 2 minute video-clip of our candidates to assist employers with their decision making process. This video-clip will complement a traditional resume that is prepared by the candidate and does NOT replace the resume.
Q.
What questions are asked in the video-clip?
A.
We normally ask candidates approximately 4 or 5 questions that are recorded on the video clip. These questions will relate to a candidate’s short-term and long-term career goals, their technical and interpersonal strengths, and their personality traits. For details on the specific questions that may be asked and for assistance with preparing for the interview prior to attending at our office, please review the document under our resources tab titled: “How to prepare yourself for the video-clip portion of your interview” Also, please refer to our visual advantage tab for additional details surrounding our video-clip process, and to view some sample video-clips.
Q.
As a candidate, may I prepare my own video and send it to you?
A.
To ensure consistency and production quality, at the present time all of the videos are filmed by Recruiting in Motion staff in one of our offices, or at a mutually convenient location offsite.
Q.
Will I be able to preview my video-clip after it is completed?
A.

Yes.

Q.
Will the video-clip be edited after I review it?
A.
No, each video-clip is approximately 1 to 2 minutes in length and will not be edited after you leave our office. The version that you review in our office will be the version that approved employers will see.
Q.
Will you assist with recruiting for positions outside of “Finance and Accounting”, “Executive Search” and "IT and Sales & Marketing"?
A.
Although we are subject-matter experts in those positions, we encourage you to call us for assistance with any position that you are looking to fill. One of our associates will be more than happy to discuss the likelihood of attracting qualified candidates.
Q.
I have privacy concerns and want to know if my video will be accessible on the internet or any public video websites such as Youtube?
A.
Your privacy is extremely important to us and your video will never be available on the internet or on any video broadcasting website. Your video will only be released to a prospective employer with your specific prior approval. Your video will always be password-protected and the prospective employer will only be granted temporary access to view your video while you are under consideration for that specific search. If you have any questions in this regard, please refer to our privacy statement or speak directly with one of our representatives.
Q.
Can your process be deemed to be discriminatory in any way?
A.
The simple answer is “no”. Employers cannot legally discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, disability or national origin. Whether the employer is reviewing your video-clip or interviewing you in person, the same rules apply.
Q.
As a candidate, do I have to be videotaped to be considered for a position through your agency?
A.
The vast majority of our candidates recognize the competitive advantage they will receive through the video process of our service, but if there is a specific reason why you object to being videotaped, please speak with one of our representatives for potential alternatives.
Q.
Where are your locations?
